Classic headbands are stretchy, 100% polyester, measuring approximately 11" wide. The headbands help hold the hair back and keep scarves and shawls from slipping, while the front panel adds a lovely burst of color. To demonstrate how the headband can be layered, it is shown in the picture on top of a  which is sold separately.
